Lead Times

The truth is, good furniture takes time.

If you’ve ever wondered why our lead times are longer, here’s the honest answer. Every piece made at Relic Modernβ„’ is built by me, start to finish, in my Minneapolis studio. When you place an order, you’re reserving a spot in my build schedule. And when your piece reaches the bench, I’m building it with thoughtfulness and intention, specifically for you.

I’m not pulling a pre-made piece from a warehouse, and there’s no assembly line of worker bees behind the scenes.

I select the lumber,
I mill it, I join it, I sand it by hand,
and I finish it.

If I’m building something meant to last generations, I’m not going to shortcut that process.

And honestly, the fact that there’s a wait is part of what makes this work what it is. It’s a sign that the pieces are carefully made, and that the quality is high-end.

So yes, there’s a wait.

But when it arrives at your home, it isn’t something that’s been sitting in a box. It’s something that’s moved through my hands, built for you, and only you.
